About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah, a specialist teacher and assessor of dyslexia with over 15 years of experience in education. I’ve worked both as a classroom teacher and as an intervention teacher across all primary year groups, and I’ve always had a strong passion for supporting learners with additional needs – particularly those facing literacy challenges.
As both an educator and a parent, I understand how important it is for every child to feel confident, capable, and valued in their learning journey. That empathy shapes everything I do.
I provide thorough evidence-based diagnostic assessments that explore a child’s strengths and areas of difficulty, helping to determine whether they meet the criteria for a dyslexia diagnosis. Assessments usually take place in my home, but with agreement from the school, I can also carry them out on-site for added convenience.
Alongside assessments, I offer individualised one-to-one tuition designed to build on each learner’s strengths and target specific challenges. Every session is carefully tailored to ensure they feel supported, understood, and empowered.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal — to help every learner thrive. I’m passionate about helping children grow in confidence, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential in a positive and nurturing environment.
